Context

The client is an international logistics company that helps individuals and businesses move goods across borders, with a strong presence in Central Asia – Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and other regional markets.

Objective

Develop a cross-platform PWA for Android and iOS that simplifies international shopping through personal virtual addresses for Taobao, AliExpress, and other marketplaces.

  • Enable real-time parcel tracking across the entire logistics cycle.
  • Support assisted purchasing from order placement through final delivery.
  • Ensure a user-friendly experience, high scalability, and reliable system performance.

Methodology

Rensai Labs used Scrum with two-week sprints. Regular feedback helped refine requirements throughout development and adjust priorities as the project evolved, keeping delivery flexible.

Challenge

The real complexity sat between the customer interface and the logistics operation behind it. The core challenge was to synchronize multiple cross-border processes, from warehouse operations and parcel consolidation to customs data and internal services, while keeping the customer journey reliable, transparent, and easy to navigate from order to delivery.

Where does your cross-border logistics flow start losing visibility or control?

Let’s map it. We’ll look at how warehouse operations, customs data, tracking, and internal systems connect, and identify where the flow can be simplified. Relevant client references are available privately under NDA.

Solution

Rensai Labs designed and developed the platform end to end, combining business analysis, system architecture, backend and frontend engineering, and a cross-platform PWA for Android and iOS.

Each user received a personal virtual delivery address automatically linked to their account. This allowed customers in Uzbekistan to order from Taobao, AliExpress, and other international marketplaces, including stores that do not directly serve the region.

Step 1

The team built a delivery calculator that estimates shipping costs based on parcel weight and volume, so users could check expected delivery costs before placing an order.

Step 2

A real-time tracking system covered every major stage of the parcel journey, from warehouse processing to final delivery, replacing reliance on separate tracking channels.

Step 3

The platform incorporated customs data handling and connected with the client’s internal services as part of the cross-border logistics flow, keeping operational data synchronized.

Step 4

The platform supported delivery through the client’s existing network, including home delivery and collection points.

Step 5

Results

The platform simplified international shopping for customers in Uzbekistan while keeping the underlying cross-border logistics reliable and transparent.

  • Expanded access to international shopping by enabling users to order from Taobao, AliExpress, and other marketplaces, including stores that do not directly serve the region.
  • Made delivery costs more predictable with a built-in calculator that estimates shipping costs before an order is placed.
  • Improved shipment visibility through real-time parcel tracking from warehouse processing to final delivery.
  • Reduced status-related support inquiries by giving customers direct access to up-to-date shipment information.
